What type of metals does Devji Diamonds use?
Devji Diamonds handcrafts each piece of jewellery in pure gold in colour rose/ yellow/ white (18ct or 22ct). We also use metals like platinum, pure silver and sterling silver.
Why do pure metals need to be mixed with other metals?
You will find examples of jewellery made of pure metals like platinum, but pure gold is soft and isn't practical for daily wear. Other metals are mixed with gold to make it more durable (and to lower its cost).
How much pure metal is in my jewellery, and how can I tell?
The purity of the metal used in each piece of jewellery is shown by a stamp or hallmark.
Platinum : 95% pure (PT950)
Gold : 18ct is 75% pure (750)
What would be the best carat gold to use for my diamond wedding ring?
An 18ct would be our recommendation, as it will last the longest and wear the best. 22ct can also be used but will not be practical for daily use.
How do I keep my silver jewellery clean?
Visit our blogs section on www.devjidiamonds.com for more details on the same.
Where do diamonds come from?
The vast majority of the world's diamonds are mined in Russia, Australia and several African countries as well. They are then purchased by Devji Diamonds and are cut and polished directly from reputable and trusted merchants to ensure our customers get the quality they deserve, at the best price.
What are the 4C’s?
Each diamond is graded by its 4C’s: Carats, Cut, Clarity, Color.
The weight of the diamond is measured in Carats, which determines the size of the diamond. The shape of the diamond is generally known as the Cut. The ideal cut is a perfect proportion of the table, crown, girdle, pavilion and the culet. Clarity refers to the inclusions, which are generally matter found within the diamonds. Color of the diamond generally refers to the color grading system varying from colorless to yellow.
Devji Diamonds believes that every natural diamond is beautiful and that, nature has left its fingerprints on each diamond to form its natural characteristics.
